For the purpose of this interview, imagine that you are planning to attend a music college this year. Unless the question asks you to, please try to exclude the Coronavirus pandemic from your thinking.

Many colleges are now giving students the opportunity to learn online as part of their studies, by making course materials available on the web, delivering some lectures via video, and giving students access to 1:1 sessions with tutors from home.

• What do you see as the advantages of online learning?
